Gingerbread For Nexus S & Nexus One: Direct Link Found

For all you nexus owners out there this week held some good news for you all, Google announced that they would be rolling out Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread for your devices. For those not wanting to wait for this update a direct download link was unearthed giving Nexus One and Nexus S owners instant access to some Gingerbread goodness.

This new instalment of Android OS is available and being rolled out via an OTA update, this was mentioned on the official Nexus Twitter account, you can read about it in this post from Androidcommunity.com where Chris Davies talks about this update taking potentially weeks to hit everybody.

This latest instalment from Android will offer some new key features like Internet calling, Near-field communication, improved power management and one touch word selection copy/paste. Of course these features aren’t new to Nexus S owners as they have had this helping of Gingerbread for a while now, for the Nexus S this is just some eagerly awaited fixes that also brings NFC tag capabilities.

This new update is sure to be very appreciated by all who use it, after what we have seen and read about this new instalment our appreciation for Android has just been taken up a notch.
