T-Mobile Release The Samsung Galaxy S 4G

For all of you who have been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S 4G to be released on T-Mobile, the wait is over; you can now pick one up from their website for $199. As you enter the website you are greeted with the usual pink writing saying ‘Your all access pass to fast’.

If you click on any of the three pink buttons on the picture of the phone then you can watch a few videos of the device and some of the features. The top button is about all the preloaded entertainment that you get, the button on the right hand side tells you about all the ways you can enjoy HD and the button on the left towards the bottom explains a bit more about what you can do with the 4G network.

The device has some pretty cool specs; it has a 4” super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen running at a resolution of 480×800, it has a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera that can record in 720p HD, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and 512MB of RAM. One of the frustrations with the device is that it doesn’t have a flash for its main camera, is pretty much standard these days. This will undoubtedly affect people’s choice if they are picking between this and another model similar with a flash, but will it stop you from getting one?

Over at Engadget Vlad Savov has added an article reporting the price to be $200 on a contract and mentions that there may be some headaches when it comes to the version of Android that it’s running (Froyo 2.2) so have a read.
