When it comes to BlackBerry branded mobile devices, there are a few that we are all expecting to do alright this year. If you are looking at the tablet PC market you will more than likely have heard of the BlackBerry PlayBook, with a competitive pricing and careful marketing strategies it could do ok in the war of the tablets.
When it comes to smartphones they have a few in the pipeline which will sell, however we are unsure just how well they will do. These are the BlackBerry Dakota and Apollo; both devices had images of them leaked back in mid January where we also reported on a few specs. Now we have some exciting news for all of you BlackBerry fans. The Storm 3 has been spotted in the wild and it has Verizon branding on the device.
Over at Engadget Chris Ziegler is reporting on it and mentions that we have been waiting for more than 6 months for the device, which has been leaking like a boat with a hole in it under different names. When you check out the video at the bottom of the article, wait till the device is turned over, that is when you can clearly see the Verizon logo.
As for specs, over at CrackBerry Kevin Michaluk has written an article detailing pretty much everything we know about the device so far. Here’s a few of the specs to give you a taste of what to expect, it has a 5 megapixel camera with a flash, a 3.7” capacitive touchscreen at the resolution of 800×480, 4GB of integrated storage and 768MB of RAM (we previously thought there was 512 RAM). Head over to see the full specs from Michaluk’s article on the link above.
