USB Portable Hard Drive: Seagate Gives You 2TB For $75

In recent times we have seen a few different types of portable storage; we have seen the hardcore ioSafe Hard Drive that can take a blast from a shotgun, the new Hypermax 3.0 from Kingston as well as the world’s thinnest hard drive from Freecom.

None of the above is our current favorite though, for all you comic buffs and geeks out there we also reported on the new DC Comic Book characters from Mimoco. We have however caught wind of a crazy price for storage; it comes in the form of a USB portable hard drive from Seagate (model number – ST320005EXA101-RK) which gives you 2TB of storage for a mere $75.

We originally read a report over on 9to5mac.com where their author Seth Weintraub added a short article explaining that with a coupon code it brings the price down from $89.99 to just $74.99 with free shipping, if you do the math that makes it $0.04 per GB.

The device runs at 5900 rpm with 32MB cache and is sized at 3.5” and it’s compatible with Windows PCs and Macs but the deal ends tomorrow so you will need that all important coupon code – it’s ‘21622249’. You can place your order for it over at Office Depot by clicking here to be directed to their website. This is quite a price difference when you compare it to the same model on the Seagate Official website.

Is this the cheapest you have seen this size of storage device before? Let us know if you place an order for one in the comments below.
