Two New Relationship Status Options From Facebook

When it comes to popular social networks such as Facebook, we bring you the latest news on things that are happening with the site including new features and changes. Some of the more recent articles where Facebook has been mentioned involve saving money and making sure you don’t use social networking as if you were leaving a window open in an area with high crime rates.

We have also reported on how Facebook overuse can make you miserable and how Lil Wayne crumbled Oreo’s Facebook Like record but now we are informing you of a new change. There have been a couple of amendments to the status section. Check out the image below.

Over at RedmondPie Hamad Dar is reporting on the additions and mentions that this has only been rolled out to the UK, US, France, Australia and Canada, there aren’t plans to roll it out to further countries where same sex marriages are legal.

Another source reporting the update to Facebook is Slashgear’s Rue Liu who says that Facebook actually consulted with its network of support which includes GLSEN, GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign prior to allowing the update to go through. We are wondering if this is another way that Facebook will be setting up adverts, so using people’s status to target them for specific categories of ads.

What do you think of the update? Will any of you genuinely use it? Let us know in the comments section below.
