HTC Thunderbolt: Another Delay – New Release Date

When it comes to the HTC Thunderbolt, the Internet has been full of speculation of when and where. So far we have seen a release date teaser, we have seen the official release date and price as per Best Buy and we have even reported to you a video review comparison.

We know that many of you will be frustrated at the lack of accuracy of launch and release dates as we all are, but now we have now caught wind that the official release date has had to be moved back. We originally read about the delay over at Phandroid where their author Quentyn Kennemer added his report.

Another source reporting the delay is Android Guys through Scott Webster, he explains that it was originally expected for February 24th but now they say it has been given the green light for February 28th.

I guess a four day delay we can live with but if it gets delayed any further you can expect a few sources to start the negative vibes. Whether it is delayed by four days, 4 weeks or whatever, we are still extremely excited about this device. Let’s hope it lives up to the high expectations that the world has for it.

Is a four day delay frustrating enough to put you off getting this device? Let us know in the comments below.

I talked to a Verizon representative today and according to her, the release date has been moved back to some time in March. She said it had to do with resolving some software issues with the phone. Go Verizon!
