Punk Inspired iPhone 4 Cases: Artist Ben Allen & Proporta Join

We are talking about the introduction of some new iPhone 4 cases designed from UK artist Ben Allen and company Proporta.

Allen who is currently based in Brighton, has worked with big names such as Virgin, Channel 5, The Hoxton Hotel, Nokia and his work has been sold to many a celebrity such as Virgin’s very own Richard Branson, Jade Jagger and Stephen Dorff.

The hard shell cases which are retailing at £24.95 each, have taken on a punk feel with designs such as a Zebra and a Skull decorated out with Britain’s iconic Union Jack. As Pocketlint reported, in a statement from Allen himself he said, “This is a great project and I am excited not only to be working with Proporta, but also to see the reaction to my designs and how they translate onto these products.”

In conjunction with Allen, Proporta renowned for its designing and manufacturing of gadget accessories also commented. Lynette Prigmore said, “We’re really pleased to introduce Ben Allen as part of the new “Proporta Collaborates” collection. Not only is Ben a fellow Brighton local, but his paintings have also been exhibited in galleries and venues worldwide. We anticipate that this new collection will be very well received. Our customers are becoming much more design focused and want to accessorise, as well as protect, their mobile gadgets.”

Keeping in with the British theme, chipchick.com have reported on yet another case based around the forthcoming Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29th April. The Gold Union Jack Smartphone Pouch designed by Proporta retailing for £20, is made of real leather as you can see here and includes a slot for credit cards.
