Motorola Atrix 4G: New Release Date On AT&T

The Motorola Atrix 4G is a highly anticipated device which for many of you, the release date cannot come soon enough. Well now you won’t have to wait until March 6th as previous reports suggested. That’s right it’s going to make its way onto the scene sooner.

The new date which is being reported by Phonedog’s Alex Wagner is February 22nd. Apparently AT&T reps have been receiving a message saying that the date has been changed. Isn’t it refreshing to hear that a release date has been brought forward instead of delayed? There is a ripple effect here though, as DroidLife report, the Motorola XOOM pre-sale has been moved back from the 17th to the 20th. Check out the image below courtesy of Engadget.

The Atrix 4G handset has the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor inside, 1GB of RAM, rear and front facing cameras and of course a sleek 4” qHD display. This device has received a huge about of attention because it has the dual-core processor as well as 4G capabilities.

This could become one of the biggest selling smartphones boasting the Android OS. We have seen all sorts of information about the device such as a promo video and the fact that it will have a laptop docking station makes it pretty unique, which is something that any handset ones, a niche in the market.

    A SIM free phone strategy is a smart thing to do for service provider companies such as AT&T. I think this will be the trend starting today. On the downside, consumers will suffer as they will be having no alternative if they opt to another network. Truly one of a kind, where else can you find a smartphone that can be transformed into laptop or desktop in an instant.
