HTC Officially Manufacturer Of The Year At MWC 2011

We have seen some awesome devices throughout 2010 from all the different manufacturers but none of them have been able to swing the award of Manufacturer of the Year away from HTC. The Mobile World Congress has been a very exciting event which definitely lived up to the expectations.

Some of the handsets we have seen from all the manufacturers are LG Optimus 3D, the Samsung Galaxy S2 and of course the first ever certified PlayStation phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Whilst these devices wouldn’t have put their manufacturer in contention, Samsung released quite a lot of popular devices in 2010 including the Galaxy Tab and a whole heap of others, check them out by clicking here.

According to Phandroid’s Quentyn Kennemer, HTC’s Peter Chou was around to pick up the award which was presented by one of Britain’s best presenters who actually did the Nintendo event; Jonathon Ross. The awards were put together by GSMA and were presented in Barcelona.

If you would like to see who won some of the other awards then you can, all you need to do is head over to globalmobileawards.com and check through the listings. It’s pretty amazing when you think they already won the ‘Best Mobile Phone of 2010’ with the HTC Hero. Some of the judge’s comments read that they have built a market presence from nowhere and that they have great communication with good customer services.
