HTC Desire S: Amazon’s Official Release Date & Price

HTC who have recently been voted manufacturer of the year by GSMA at the awards ceremony at the Mobile World Congress event have now allowed the pre-ordering of the HTC Desire S. The official release date and price has been displayed on Amazon.

The official release date and price of the HTC desire as shown by Amazon is £419.99 also showing that the item is due to be released on April 18th 2011 as shown below. This device is the successor to the original HTC Desire.

The handset comes with some impressive technical specifications; it has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5 megapixel camera and 3.7” Sony SuperTFT display. It also has multiple social networking outlets and Facebook integration.

As Quentyn Kennemer of Phandroid says, some of the new additions include a front facing camera and a new chipset but if you are interested then over at fonehome.co.uk they have listed the changes and improvements between the Desire and its new successor. The device is available now for pre-ordering and as Kennemer says that you can have the device in your hands on April 18th.
