Facebook Profile Picture: Turn Yours Into A Video

When it comes to Facebook it certainly has the user base, it has more than half a billion signed up for its service and more than half of them are daily returners. Of all these users they are always trying to make their profile unique.

In recent times we have seen a few different ways of customizing your profile using the new look to create something that looks almost like a work of art. We are now hearing of a way to turn your profile picture into a video.

How do you do it? Well it starts off with an app/browser plugin called FlipYourProfile. Once you have installed it you can change your profile picture to a profile video which includes sound. If you are now want to add a looping video as your profile picture then keep reading.

Over at Mashable, their author Laura Indvik is reporting on the some of the advantages and disadvantages of the app, one of them is that the only people that can see your new video is people who have it installed too. Check out the article to read more about it.

If you still want to go ahead and get it installed then as we mentioned previously, you will need to download the app and browser plugin to your compatible browser (Safari, Chrome, IE and Firefox). When that bit is done restart your browser and connect your profile with the app. As for the video it must be less than 10MB and using the file format of .mp4, h.264 or .flv. Once you have your video ready you can upload it and hey presto you now have a video as your profile picture.

One thing to remember is you may need to convert the file type; you can do it using Get Miro. What do you think of the idea of using a video instead of your usual still image? Can you think of any uses for this? Let us know how you get on in the comments section below.
