MWC WP7 Features In Use: Kinect, IE9 & Multitasking Video

MWC 2011 has been pretty good so far, we have heard about lots of different devices and more are coming. So far some of the ones that have interested us have been the LG Optimus 3D, the Sony Xperia Play (PlayStation Phone) and of course, just about everything within the crazy Android booth.

Now we have read a report on Engadget’s website written by Tim Stevens. He is reporting on some of the motion features that are on Windows Phone 7. Matt Tran of OSM previously reported on some of the new features that are coming which included Twitter integration and multitasking but now we have some additional details to those.

Following Steve Ballmer’s MWC keynote and our previous report, there have been a few videos released on the official Microsoft website demonstrating the Kinect, IE9 and the multitasking capabilities so be sure to check them out. They are also available from Engadget’s post and are actually easier to view as they are all embedded.

The update that will be coming us undoubtedly impressive, especially where IE9 is concerned, the way it uses the graphics is pretty amazing. The video shows IE9 actually running on an HTC phone; importantly it supports HTML5 which means you will see hardware acceleration on your device. As for the Kinect video, do you think this the integration will actually help gamers? Was this something that the gaming world wanted?

What do you think of the demonstrations? Let us know your thoughts on the videos in the comments section below.
