HTC Revolver – Secret Handset: Hints At Specs & Release Date

HTC has certainly been busy in their preparation for MWC 2011 with a list of new handsets and a few surprises coming through such as a dedicated Facebook button on one of their devices. We have seen the HTC Incredible S, Desire S and Wildfire S get some official news as well as the ChaCha and Salsa models showing off their easy access to Facebook.

Now we have caught wind of a new handset, this one has been kept secret by HTC as it hasn’t appeared on any of the HTC listings is the HTC Revolver, this handset seems to have been kept a secret but we have been hearing some hints at specs and even a potential release date of Spring on AT&T, maybe we will hear more sooner rather than later.

There’s an article written by Donald Melanson over on Engadget where they have been sent an image by someone who remains anonymous showing a button-less handset in the usual HTC shape. This has so far not been confirmed by AT&T although Engadget have been informed of the specs for the device too!

The apparent flagship device for 2011 will have apparently has some pretty good specs as the tipster has provided them too. The device has a 4.3” capacitive touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera, 3megapixel front facing camera, a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

One other thing… it will be running on Android Honeycomb, that’s right, the Google OS which is apparently optimized for tablet PCs. Alan Ng over at PRNews has also been reporting on the device and is confirming that it is definitely not on any of the listings.

What do you think of the leak? How legitimate do you think it is? Let us know in the comments section below.
