HTC Incredible S, Desire S & Wildfire S: Official News

We’ve been hearing a ton of news from MWC 2011, currently taking place in Barcelona, and there’s plenty of information about new HTC products. We’ve already given you details of two new smartphones on the way, the HTC Salsa & ChaCha and also given the first official news on the HTC Flyer 7-inch tablet device. Now we have yet more, with 3 more smartphones being detailed.

This comes to us from Vlad Savov over on Engadget who tells of 3 Android refreshes, the HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Wildfire S. We knew that HTC had a new flagship device on the way and that was finally revealed as the Incredible S, which has a 4-inch display and will be running Android 2.2 on release in early Q2. The design is similar to that of the Droid Incredible but the Incredible S will be available in markets worldwide. Specs include 1GHz Qualcomm processor with 768MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facer.

Next comes the HTC Desire S which has a unibody shell, a 3.7-inch display and also a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8225. There’s a 5-megapixel camera, and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 768MB of RAM but instead of being launched with Android 2.2, this will come straight in running Android 2.4 Gingerbread. The release for the Desire S is due in the middle of Q2.

After this release we’ll then get to see the HTC Wildfire S aimed towards the lower end of the market. This will now have HVGA resolution instead of the previous QVGA on a 3.2-inch display, and also comes running Android 2.4 Gingerbread.
