Motorola Atrix 4G: AT&T Pre-Orders Commence Ahead Of March 6

AT&T’s new Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone dubbed a “monumental device” from Joshua over at Engadget, has been getting quite a lot of attention in recent weeks. The phone, one of the first handsets to include a dual-core processor is due to be released in March, and for anyone wishing to get their hands on one of these smart little phones, can now do so by pre-ordering it. In recent weeks, we have given you a taster of the device by showing you a promotional video plus docking accessory and specs.

The Atrix‘s official launch date has been reported as March 6 at a price of $199.99 with an online discount. The guys at AT&T were keen to stick to their word of giving customers the opportunity to get their 4-incher in the bag before official release. Over at Slashgear, they have kindly noted down the 3 voice plans which will be between $39.99 and $69.99 per month, which are mandatory as they said, is a contract.

As they pointed out, the 3 on offer range from $15 per month for 200MB of HSPA + data, $25 per month for 2GB or at the top in terms of pricing $45 for 4GB. The keyboard dock which is an option, works on the principle of placing the Atrix 4G into as they say, “a notebook style chassis” giving a full working keyboard and 11.6-inch display. Price for this complete number will set you back $299.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate whilst the HD Media Dock is $129.99.

The Bluetooth keyboard on the other hand is $69.99, or the carrier AT&T will give you the HD Media Dock, keyboard and a wireless mouse for $189.99. A standard dock will retail for $49.99 and one for your automobile $39.99.

Debbie here at OSM via Engadget, reported on this very smartphone, saying that the screen is “gorgeous” and were more than impressed with the speed, the only comment that they made, is of the laptop dock taking a little getting used to.
