iPad 3 2011 Release Confusion

With speculation plaguing the Internet over Apples illusive iPad 2 is it too early to be contemplating its successor? It appears not, there seems to be endless confusion surrounding a possible iPad 3 2011 release date. Having previously brought you news of the imminent successor in the iPad range, could we possibly be getting ahead of ourselves?

This speculation seems to have arisen following HP’s announcement yesterday of its plans to release their latest Tablet PC, the TouchPad which is based around the companies new webOS software . Although this device is not due for release until the summer and carries no confirmed price tag, people are already labelling this tab as a possible iPad killer.

It’s not this device itself that has started this spiralling speculation, but a comment that was made by Daring Fireball’s John Gruber on his site. He wrote “If my theory is right, they’re not only going to be months behind the iPad 2, but if they slip until late summer, they might bump up against the release of the iPad 3”. According to this post by Appleinsider people thought Gruber’s comments were a result of inside information, in a following post he clarified that his thoughts were just mere guess work.

Still as a result of these comments it is everyone’s belief that we could see an iPad 3 released this fall, especially as it has been reported that Apple are assembling all the pieces together for a big fall surprise. You can read more on this story in this post by MG Siegler at Techcrunch.com.

Judging by all this mounting evidence it seems we may see something big coming from Apple in the next few weeks, could it be a new iPad or even maybe a new Macbook Pro? Keep checking our home page for new updates.

Do you think we will see a new iPad anytime soon?
