Verizon iPhone 4 Release: Online order shipping delay, buy in-store

We know how many of you are waiting for tomorrow, February 10, the day when Verizon will finally release it’s version of the Apple iPhone. We’ve already told you that pre-orders for Verizon customers broke first day sales records, and given news of an early first delivery. We’d also like to remind you that from today pre-orders are open to all.

Now the iPhone for Verizon is almost with us the next question is will there be enough to go round? Vlad Savov over on Engadget informs us that both Verizon and Apple are taking online orders and reservations. However a look at the Apple and Verizon sites reveal early orders to be delivered, already have a shipping date of February 18. Bear in mind too that Daniel Eran Dilger over on Apple Insider reports that when they tested this by ordering one from Apple, the receipt stated shipping by February 18 but also said it would be delivered within 5 working days so you may not actually get your hands on one until around February 25 by ordering this way.

Your best bet therefore is to reserve one for picking up in-store or even take your chances and head down to your nearest physical retail outlet tomorrow. Verizon states that it’s retail stores will be open from 7AM tomorrow and the iPhone 4 will be available there on a first-come first-served basis.

If you’re a customer eager to get your hands on a Verizon iPhone we’d be really interested to hear how you get on in your mission to do so. Let us know if you turn up tomorrow in-store and manage to buy one, or if they’re already sold out. We’d welcome your comments on this.
