Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo: Video but still not official

With MWC 2011 fast approaching we can’t help noticing just how many stories have already been leaked about upcoming devices. We’ve already posted many stories about the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Xperia Play and then last week heard leaks about the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, expected to be announced at MWC.

The Neo is apparently a refresh of the Vivaz and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and we’ve previously informed you about its 8.1-megapixel camera with LED flash, 4-inch screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Now we hear yet more news on this as yet unannounced handset, from Chris Ziegler over on Engadget, sourced from My Android Life, and this time there’s a selection of videos testing out the Neo, one of which you can see below this story.

For a look at all the videos along with some stills check out the My Android Life link above. Ziegler points out that the camera results are a little disappointing so far, but of course a pre-production model can undergo big changes before the actual release. There’s also a video look at the UI on the Xperia Neo and although the Neo doesn’t look quite up to the experience of the Xperia Arc it could still be popular, depending on the price of course.

Paul Lamkin over on Pocket-Lint also takes a look at the Xperia Neo and places it in the mid-range of Xperia devices, below the Xperia Play and Xperia Arc, but above the older X8 and X10 ranges. What are your thoughts on what you’ve seen of the Neo so far? Let us know with your comments.
