Nikon S3100, S4100, S6100 & L24: Price & Release Dates

At OSM we have been reporting on lots of different cameras and a few DSLRs, some of the more recent reports include the Canon Rebel T3/T3i DSLRs, the Ricoh CX5, Fujifilm’s Finepix X100 and the new range of PowerShot cameras from Canon.

We have also seen the Nikon Coolpix S8100 but now we are bringing you a few new cameras that are being released by Nikon. These include the L24, S3100, S4100 and the S6100. The first one we’ll be looking at is the L24, it has a 3” LCD, 14 megapixels with a 3.6x optical zoom you can read its full technical specs from the official Nikon website. The estimated price for this camera is said to be $119.95.

Next on our hit-list is the S3100, this device is described as slim and stylish, it comes in seven different colors, it 14 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom, it has a 2.7” LCD display on the back of it and a variety of scene modes. Check out its full technical specs from the Nikon Website. This is another camera that won’t cost you an arm and a leg; it comes in at $139.95.

The S4100 is the next in the line up, one of its main selling points is the fact that it can record in 720p HD; it also has 14 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom, a 3” touch-panel, again a variety of scene modes and much, much more click here to read all of its specs. The price steps up a bit with this one to $179.95

The last camera we are going to have a peek at is the S6100. Nikon describe this camera as highly powerful and portable, this device has 16 megapixels and a 7x optical zoom, a 3” LCD touch-panel, lots of scene modes and again, a whole heap of other specs which are viewable by clicking here.
