T-Mobile, 3 & Orange Also Set For Playtime With New Xperia

We brought you the good news yesterday that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was being made available on O2 and Vodafone. We have even more good news as the “Playstation Phone” is also coming to Orange and T-Mobile networks.

The much sought after smartphone which is out in around April is now available on all 5 of the UK’s big networks: O2, Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and 3. The handset is set to be fully unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona on February 13 at 6:00pm GMT. O2 Tweeted confirmation of stocking the phone upon release yesterday and Vodafone broke the big news shortly after.

Even though the Xperia Play is yet to be fully unveiled we know that it will be sporting Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Google Android is featured in the phone’s TV commercial; if you are yet to see the ad then we have embedded it for you below courtesy of Hexus.

Cnet has predicted that the Play will come loaded with a 4-inch 854×480-pixel screen and a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, as well as Gingerbread. We still have no news on pricing although you can expect contracts on all 5 networks and a PAYG cost of £400-£600. Leave us your thoughts on the smartphone and games console hybrid, and tell us if you think it will bring a new dimension to mobile. Will it be the phone of the year?

Oh yea. I'm buying one of those little mofos.

It should be SE's year with the Play, the Arc and the Neo.
