Dell Venue Android Handset: Order now $499.99 unlocked

Back in December we gave you some news of a pretty impressive-sounding handset from Dell, the Dell Venue. This phone is not to be confused with the Dell Venue Pro, which is probably one of the best Windows Phone 7 handsets, instead the Dell Venue is an Android handset.

The Dell Venue has a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and a very respectable 8-megapixel camera. There’s also a 1GHz processor and 1GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB, according to Zach Epstein over on BGR. Add in 512MB of RAM along with the Android 2.2, Froyo, operating system with Stage software from Dell and you’ve certainly got decent specs for a phone that looks good too.

You can order right now direct from Dell and the price is $499.99 unlocked. The Dell Venue will be available in two versions, either for AT&T’s 3G network or T-Mobile’s 3G network, with shipping beginning on February 18. For much more information about the Dell Venue or to order go to the Dell website product page here.

You can also see a comprehensive review of the Dell Venue by Richard Lai over on Engadget. What are your thoughts on the Dell Venue Android handset and are you tempted to purchase one? Let us know with your comments please.
