Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo: Another leak before MWC 2011

News of new phones just keeps on coming and this time it’s the turn of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, hot-on-the-heels of the Xperia Play and Xperia Arc and yet another leak before MWC 2011.

Gareth Beavis over on Tech Radar reports on how the site managed to get their hands on this device and has written a review of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset. Beavis points out that the Neo is a refresh of the Vivaz but says it does not have many similarities, although the curvaceous form is one thing it does share.

The Xperia Neo has a proximity and light sensor and what sounds like an impressive camera of 8.1-megapixels with LED flash. There’s also a 4-inch screen and three ports, microUSB, mini-HDMI out and 3.5mm headphone jack. The interface is said to be “fluid-feeling,” and there’s also a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Meanwhile Vlad Savov, over on Engadget, points out that back in December, four trademarks were registered by Sony Ericsson, Xperia Play, Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and Xperia Duo so it look as though we’ll still be hearing more at Mobile World Congress 2011.
