Nikon Coolpix S8100: Specs, Features & Price

We have recently been looking at various cameras such as the Olympus XZ-1, the Samsung NX11 and also the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10. We have now caught wind of another camera and this one may be just the right one for you.

The camera we are talking about is the Nikon Coolpix S8100, although CES 2011 was packed full of gadgets, gizmos and tablet PCs there were also quite a few cameras being show cased, but not this one.

Some of the features it has are a 12.1 megapixel lens with a CMOS image sensor, a 10x optical zoom, a 3” screen on the back and it can work with a variety of different memory cards. It can use SD, SDXC, SDHC however it isn’t compatible with multi-media cards. The camera stores still images in JPEG format, movie files in MPEG-4 and sound files in WAV and it can perform full HD recording.
