HTC Pyramid Rumor: 4G Dual-core beast for T-Mobile

The HTC Thunderbolt, an Android handset coming soon to Verizon, is one that many people are waiting for and the 4G phone with its 4.3-inch screen has received many favorable reports so far. However if you’re on the T-Mobile network you might be wondering where your 4.3-inch beauty is and the good news today is that a new HTC handset could be on its way.

At present none of this information has been confirmed but two separate sources have had details passed to them about the new phone, which has been dubbed for now, the HTC Pyramid. First off, David over on TMO News reports that both TMO and another tech site, Android and Me have received similar information although it came from different sources, but the fact that both sites have been leaked information does seem to give this rumor some credence.

The upcoming phone is speculated to be 4G, have a 4.3-inch qHD screen and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with a release date of some time in the Q2 this year. Meanwhile the article about this rumor over on Android and Me is by Taylor Wimberly and this one gives a release date of May. It seems likely we’ll hear more about this rumored handset at MWC 2011 later this month as Wimberly makes the point that their source for this information is a person who has given Android and Me reliable info several times before.

What are your thoughts on the HTC ‘Pyramid.’ Could this be the beast that you’ve been waiting for? Why not let us know by sending us your comments.
