iPad 2 Cameras: Digital Photography Expert Needed?

If you are a keen unemployed ‘iOS Photography Software Engineer’, then Apple may have just the job for you. A vacancy has been listed asking for such a position within the company’s Cupertino base in California.

To be the perfect applicant the job listing requests a “dynamic software engineer with the drive and desire to deliver great photography applications for the Mac and iPad platforms.”

According to AppleInsider, this call for a new employee follows up on the iPad 2’s reported plans to house dual cameras. It could also mean that Apple require a new person to help with the Photo Stream application which we heard about during the beta build of Apple’s next gen iOS 4.3, which incidentally has now become available according to Alan over at PR News.

Within this MobileMe feature, users will be able to upload and store the previous thirty days worth of images and sync them to their other devices. Added to the new iOS is Apple’s video chat facility FaceTime, and this also could be seen on the iPad 2’s forward-facing camera. It will leave the second rearward-facing device to deal with image capturing.

Whether or not Apple finds its ideal candidate, we are certain that the second generation tablet will sport front and back cameras when it finally hits the shelves. Let us know if you have any other suspicions for the iPad 2, or do you think that you have what it takes to join the Steve Jobs family?
