Motorola XOOM: Featured In Super Bowl Advert

Motorola are quickly becoming the advertisement guru’s, if you cast your minds back to before CES 2011 you may remember a tablet PC advert that went through the ages of tablets starting with the Egyptian Hieroglyphic carrying on through the ages all the way until it comes to the Motorola stand. This is where the Android Honeycomb hint comes in as the bee flies towards the Motorola Logo.

Whilst we are still about a week away from the Super Bowl but as they did with CES 2011, Motorola are giving the world a sneak preview of their XOOM tablet advert. In their advert, they take a bit of a dig at Apple and the advert they have that featured in a Super Bowl back in 1984.

The advert then reels off a whole heap of the devices’ specs that people will take notice of, you can check out both the Apple and Motorola adverts at the bottom of the article. The Motorola XOOM has become one of the most anticipated devices of 2011 ever since it won best-in-show at CES 2011. There’s talk of the new tablet PC being available from Best Buy as of February 17th. There’s also plenty of speculation surrounding the price of the device, phonedog.com’s Alex Wagner is also reporting similar speculation around the price.

If you are looking for further information on the advert then you can find some over at droid-life.com, their author Kellex also points out that this is more than likely just a teaser and not the actual ad that will be shown. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the official Motorola website too.

What do you think of the advert for the Super Bowl? How much do you think the device is going to cost? Let us know in the comments below.

More freedom? Does that mean the Xoom will have an unlocked bootloader and we can install custom ROM's?

Or maybe they mean more freedom for Verizon and their crapware.
