Google Purchases SayNow: Social Voice Service – What Next?

Google has been in the eye of the media recently for a number of reasons; one of them is because they have applied censorships to its instant search for Torrent sites and profanities, another is because they have a new CEO.

Everyone’s favorite search engine also regularly updates homepage logo on special days with a Google Doodle but now we are reporting that they have purchased another company. Google has bought ‘SayNow’ who deliver a voice service in a social media fashion.

The purchase is more than likely to be integrated with the Google Voice service in a bid to rival the Facebook and Skype partnership that has recently come about. Over at mobileburn.com Todd Haselton says that SayNow broadcast allows celebrities to give messages to fans using their voice rather than the words we see on Twitter. He also mentions that SayNow can also be integrated to Twitter, MySpace and Facebook along with iPhone and Android applications.

Check out SayNow’s official website where they declare that they have been acquired by Google. We are wondering what Google’s plans are for the newly acquired company. We are welcoming all of your thoughts so let them be known in the comments section below.
