iPhone 5: Is A Bigger Screen Now Needed?

With so many smartphones on the current market each contending with one another, and the feeling sometimes of being lost in an array of specifications, it can be difficult to choose that one phone that stands out from the rest. To complicate matters further, the market this year will be inundated with more devices particularly that of Android, including two from Apple with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 5, and its the latter we wanted to talk about.

Currently, the internet is full up with rumors of what the iPhone 5 will look like, internal and external features, release date and pricing. But with the next gen on its way, have Apple really considered what customers would like to see included? Over at Cnet, this is just what they decided to do. In an article that David Carnoy posted, he outrightly asked readers whether they thought the iPhone’s screen is too small, and what improvements they would like implemented on the next model?

Half of them responded by saying that “yes, they would like to see Apple make the next iPhone’s screen larger.” Presently, an abundance of phones seem to incorporate screen sizes of 4-inches, which at times can perhaps improve viewing movies and reading, but then it make the phone too bulky?

Consequently following on from yet another piece written for readers’ views was that of the 20 most wanted features that the Cnet writer would like to see. Many viewers expressed their opinions, which were mixed, by saying that a bigger screen was missed off the list and that this would be a great unique selling point.

What are your thoughts on the next generation having a larger screen? It is an important buying factor for you? Let us know your feelings along with what else you would like to see? Or are you tempted by Android’s offerings?
