We have recently been looking back at some of the cameras and different devices that were showcased at CES 2011, we have already reported on the Olympus XZ-1 digital camera. Back at CES 2011 we also informed you of the JVC Everio, which could be a competitor to the Handycam as it is also a full 3D recorder.

Onto the Sony Handycam HDR-TD10, this is a camcorder that can record in Full HD 3D; it is priced at $1499.99 and is currently accepting pre-orders. The device has two full HD sensors so that you can capture 1920×1080 3D video, not only that but it can also record in 2D. IT has a 3.5” Xtra Fine LCD display, which allows you to view 2D and 3D recordings without glasses.

It has 64GB of internal flash memory which means you can record up to 5 hours worth of HD 3D video or alternatively a massive 25 hours of 2D video. It has a 10x Optical zoom whilst in 3D mode and has dual wide angle G lenses to make sure you don’t miss a thing. You can view the full technical specifications over at Sony’s official website where you can also place your pre-order if this is for you.

Of course there are a few essential accessories such as a camcorder charger and carrying case to keep your device in the best working order during transportation. You can view a video of the device over on Sony’s website or alternatively we have a different video at the bottom of our article.

No – Not until it takes 12MP stills that the HDR series do now .

Then it WILL be awesome. Will easily take The Mantle as
    the best compact , highest quality , triple ( 3D , 2D and High MP Stills )
    capability HD camera/camcorder available.

Am impressed with its size though – bet the early Canon 3D buyers are pissed !
