Samsung Galaxy “Vibrant” Froyo Update: Coming Today

For many of you who may already have a Samsung Galaxy S β€œVibrant,” or are thinking of getting a new smartphone and this one is ticking all the boxes, will be pleased to learn that from today, the introduction of the long awaited Android 2.2 update will be embracing the device. Bringing the new update to their popular phone has been a high talking point, and at times as BGR stated, Samsung have been criticised for taking their time to implement it.

As PCMag.com reported, the new update will notably bring new features to the phone as well as increased speed. Although Android 2.2 Froyo will now be a prevalent feature for some users, not everybody will automatically get to enjoy it, users may have to wait a few more weeks. In response to why it has taken so long, T-Mobile’s Chief Marketing Officer Cole Brodman said, β€œIt was a quality control and timing issue. The biggest challenge is integration and customization.”

Brodman went on to say amongst other things, that T-Mobile in the future, will be doing its best to update all of its phones to Google’s Android OS. He also went on to add that the new 4G Galaxy S will no doubt be showcased at the MWC next month in Barcelona.

For anyone still not familiar with the Vibrant and what it packs in specifications, we will give you a quick run down. Including a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, Bluetooth, GPS, social networking accessibility, 5 megapixel camera and up to 6.5 hours battery life are just some of the key features.
