Motorola Atrix 4G: Release Date & Leaked Specification List

Now that the Consumer Electronics Show has been and gone, our sights are set as to what we can expect to see over the next few months. There‚Äôs no doubt that the next 12 months will be inundated with tablets, TV’s, mobile phones and so on. But its news of Motorola’s new Atrix 4G smartphone that has caught our eye today.

Debbie here at OSM has reported on a few occasions about this new device, but today reports of a leaked document are not only pointing to the possibility of some more added specifications but a release date in March. Stated as being one of the most powerful phones to come onto the current market, a leaked shot of AT&T’s internal system as Softpedia reported via Android Central, is showing March 1st as a launch date. Some have queried this date right from the off, as AT&T’s past history of launching devices normally takes place on a Sunday not a Tuesday as stated.

Although we already had a certain amount of specs to go on, the list was a little sparse, but looking at the leaked document as our source stated, we are presented with yet more features. We already know that the handset will incorporate a Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, along with the inclusion of a 4-inch qHD display, this can be as Debbie reported compared to the iPhone’s pixel display, VGA front facing camera and 5MP rear.

Included in this will be 16GB of built in memory although this can be expanded to 32GB with the aid of a microSD card, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G connectivity as well as compatibility with Android 2.2 Froyo, and of course not forgetting the big 1930 mAh battery offering up to 9 hours of talk time or just over 10 days standby time.

Tell us what do you think about this new Android handset from Motorola? Is it ticking all the boxes for you, and is it enough to beat off the Verizon iPhone?
