Fujitsu Esprimo FH99/CM: 3D Desktop Glasses-Free

Glasses-free 3D displays have come a long way in this last year and exhibits from this year’s CES certainly showed that. Now we hear of a new development as Fujitsu is claiming the word’s first glasses-free all-in-one 3D desktop computer.

The Fujitsu Esprimo FH99/CM is being launched in Japan on February 25 and will cost an eye-watering $3,100 according to Ben Bowers of Engadget, sourced from Fujitsu.jp. The Esprimo has a 23-inch full HD display along with Blu-ray drive and support for 3D Blu-ray.

Specs include a 2GHz Core i7 processor, 4GB of memory plus a 2TB hard drive. There are also 2 USB 3.0 ports and this naked-eye 3D desktop could also become available outside Japan though this is not yet known.

A report on AFP quotes Fujitsu engineer Toshiro Ohbitsu as saying, “Without having to wear glasses, you can enjoy watching 3D images with others. You can share the excitement with family.” The report also reminds us that the world’s first glasses-free 3D TV was launched by Toshiba last month.
