Verizon iPhone 5: Will Unlimited Data Plan’s Convert You?

There is a lot of hype circulating around the biggest and best carrier in the US Verizon hooking up with the biggest selling mobile device, the Apple iPhone. We have heard a lot about different proceedings and although its not yet been confirmed and there are still quite a few doubters out there, surely it has to happen?

Another hint towards the pair coming together has been announced by Verizon with them offering an unlimited data plan on their network. This is another kick in the teeth towards AT&T who have recently reduced the price of the 3GS in a possible desperation bid to try and keep users on their network using an Apple device.

According to WSJ.com’s Yukari Iwatani Kane, AT&T has struggled to overcome the complaints about the quality of their network since the ever popular iPhone hit the US carrier back in ‘97. Verizon has built up it’s reputation upon it’s solid base for telecommunications over their network but now they will be bringing the unlimited data plan we are wondering if it will convert you, iPhone or not?

David Murphy over at PCMag says that various sources say that the unlimited data plan will be priced at $30 per month, which is slightly higher than AT&T’s data plans but offers a lot more. This would be a real selling point for Verizon if they decide to keep the data plan rather than moving towards a tiered one like AT&T did last summer. If it’s more opinion you are looking for, then why not read through Engadget’s recent article, where Darren Murph has his say. This news comes very close to Verizon’s event tomorrow don’t you think?

Is this yet another hint that the Verizon iPhone is coming? We sure hope so; let us know your thoughts on the move from Verizon in the comments below.
