It’s no secret that here at OSM that we do like a good infographic and recent ones we’ve told you about include what Twitter in print would look like and Facebook and Twitter numbers compared. Also we recently informed you that many major brands have now reversed their marketing spending towards using more social media.

Today we’ve found another useful infographic that depicts the social media buzz in 2010 for various brands. The news came to us from Todd Wasserman over on Mashable and the infographic was based on the Vitrue 100 report. The infographic is taking from analysis of how much different brands were discussed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and one of the things noted is that Apple which does not even have a Facebook or Twitter account, is one of the most discussed brands on the popular social networking sites.

Looking at the top categories discussed, consumer electronic brands scored highest with 30%, followed by fashion and retail on 20% while such things as food and beverages, sports and finance scored the lowest. A closer look at the electronic brands discussed shows the number one topic is the Apple iPhone, followed by BlackBerry, Android, iPad and Sony in that order. In the top 5 2010 Rank Gainers, AT&T and Visa jointly got the highest spot. You can check out the full infographic at the mashable link above.
