JVC Everio GS-TD1 Camcorder: Full HD 3D Recording – Impressive?

Are you looking for the next big thing in video recording technology? Perhaps this is it, the JVC Everio GS-TD1 can record in Full HD 3D, now that’s pretty impressive right? The JVC camcorder looks brilliant and its functionality is really cool.

Whilst it’s not the first camcorder to record in Full HD, it is the first one to show you exactly what you are recording on its display. In other words, when you record with devices such as Panasonic’s HDC-TC750, you may as well be recording on a 3D pocket camcorder like this one from Sony as you have to wait until you play it back on another 3D device. With the JVC Everio GS-TD1 you can play it back in 3D on the device. The LCD monitor will play back the recording without the need for 3D glasses.

The overall quality of the resolution is 1920 x 1080i. Some of it’s features include an internal flash storage of 64GB, a 5x Zoom and an optical axis automatic stabilization system. For further information on the specs, head over to JVC’s newsroom where the press release resides. You can also pick up some product information over at JVC’s official site. You can also view Daniel Lim’s article over at Slashgear where he has done a hands on review.

According to Lim’s article, the device will be going on sale in March 2011 and it will retail for around the $2,000 marker. Although it’s fairly expensive, we at OSM are still extremely impressed by the device.
