Dell Streak 7: Coming to T-Mobile plus hands-on experience

More news continues to flood in from CES 2011 and we’ve posted many articles already on tablets from the event such as the Motorola Xoom and a Panasonic Viera tablet among many others. This time we’re taking a look at the Dell Streak 7 tablet which is now official and will be carried on T-Mobile’s 4G network.

The news came to us from Vlad Savov over on Engadget who tells us this will be running Android 2.2 with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and 16GB of internal memory. It also has a 7-inch multitouch screen and will be available from Dell online and T-Mobile retail stores at some point during the next few weeks. You can see the official press release at the Engadget link above and you can also see an introductory video of the Dell Streak 7 below this story.

Another Engadget article, this time by Chris Ziegler gives information on his hands-on experience with the Dell Streak 7 and also includes 2 hands-on videos to view. Ziegler describes the Dell Streak 7 as a bigger Streak with no earpiece but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as many people were confused about the 5-inch Streak’s size, not being sure if it was a phone or a tablet.

You can also see the official product page now on the T-Mobile website here where you can register to be notified when it becomes available. What are your thoughts on the Dell Streak? We’d be interested to hear from you so please do send us your comments.
