CES 2011: What to expect from LG HD

We’ve been following all the news from CES 2011 and our minds are quite frankly becoming boggled already with all the new releases and promises for much more. We’ve posted many articles already on CES and most recently have reported on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and what we might expect to see from Philips. Now we want to take a look at what we expect to see from LG in the way of HD products.

Darren Murph over on Engadget, sourced from LG, has given a comprehensive breakdown of what’s anticipated and predicts much more about the SmartTV platform. This will give users the capability of accessing streaming media, apps and also surfing the web via HDTV’s and Blu-ray players. Then there’s the set-top addition, the SmartTV ST600 which can give the same capabilities to any TV.

The new LED and LCD HDTV line is also expected to be announced with 13 new models to look forward to. The great thing is that 9 of these new models will have built-in Smart TV. Plasma’s are also anticipated with 1080p Infinia PZ950 and PZ750 lines due, both enabled with Smart TV. There’ll also be a new range of Blu-ray players and home theater systems and the big teaser is news of a 3D mobile TV prototype which a lot of people at CES will no doubt be looking out for.
