Detroit Auto Show 2011: Twitter / Facebook Updates

With the 2011 Detroit Auto Show set to start on January 10, 2010 fans of the event will be visiting the official Facebook and Twitter page to keep fully up-to-date. Over the past few years auto shows such as this have been using social networking services to offer details much faster than ever before, and other auto websites have been doing the same.

Looking at the NAIAS Facebook page we can see that organizers and carmakers are still hard at it putting the final touches to the booths, lighting etc. The page has not been updated in 8 hours, but you can be certain come Monday the updates will come in more frequently.

However, if you want to be kept informed at a faster rate, then the official Twitter page is where you need to be. Having said that the last tweet was about 11 hours ago. If I wanted to be kept up-to-date with all that will going on during the Detroit Auto Show then I would consider visiting Autoblog.

There are also two other auto shows coming up, and they both have a social networking presence. The first is Portland International Auto Show on January 27, 2010 and the second is the Philly Auto Show. Visit the Facebook page for the Portland Auto Show here, and their Twitter page here. We can see that the Facebook page for the Philly Show is not working at the moment, but their Twitter page is.

Which of the three events are you looking forward to the most?
