CES 2011: eLocity Showcases A10 Series Running Honeycomb 3.0

We are fully aware that there is going to be a huge influx of tablet PCs at this years CES 2011 event. This includes eLocity who are launching a range of new tablet PCs. For those of you who have never heard of eLocity, they are a fairly new tablet PC manufacturer that we will see more devices from this year.

Although we don’t have the full specs of any of their 7 planned tablets, we do have some intriguing information to report. Firstly the range of tablets will start at A10.1, each different will have a model number going through to A10.7; this is described by BGR.com’s Zach Epstein as an annoyance however it is logical. Secondly, the tablets will all be loaded with the new NVIDIA Tegra 2 processors. We had previously heard that Android Honeycomb 3.0 wouldn’t work on a less advanced processor, the fact that they will all be housing NVIDIA Tegra 2 processors backs up that theory.

The devices will each have USB ports, 1080p HDMI output, front facing cameras, microSDHC support of up to 32GB and will be available for pre-ordering on January 17th. We are currently unaware of pricing but we are looking forward to finding out a bit more about the devices and the future plans of the company. Could they come into the market and do well, we will have to wait and see.
