HTC EVO Shift 4G on Sprint: Specs by Walmart beating CES

Back in August we took a look at some of the Android phones that were dominating the market, one of which was the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint and then only a few days ago we brought you some news of its successor the HTC EVO Shift 4G speculated to be unveiled at CES 2011 which begins this Thursday, January 6, with a possible release date of January 9.

Now it seems that HTC is teasing everybody very nicely indeed with a slogan across the side of a whole building down in Las Vegas for CES 2011. The teaser reads ,“It’s not your dream phone. It’s the one after that,” without specifying, of course, which phone it refers to but Ross Miller over on Engadget, feels it’s likely to refer to the HTC EVO Shift which many people are anticipating.

We also learn of a leak as the Walmart website also now reveals a product page for the HTC EVO Shift on Sprint, listing specs such as a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard and camera with dual LED flash and video, all running on Android 2.2 OS although as Engadget points out some of the information listed is contradictory, such as a 3.7-inch screen size, but a 4.3-inch display?

Over on Phandroid, Kevin Krause feels that the EVO Shift 4G could compete at a similar level to the T-Mobile G2 or the HTC Desire Z. What are your thoughts on the EVO Shift 4G? We’d be interested to hear from you so please do send us your comments.
