CES 2011: Vizio Tablet PC & Phone – Android Honeycomb or WP7?

CES 2011 is only days away, everyone at OSM is starting to get excited to see all of the new products that will be showcased. We are hoping for a few surprise products too, perhaps something that has managed to slip under the radar, that would be great.

It would appear that Vizio have given a glimpse of their new tablet PC, head to the bottom of the article to view the Rose Bowl advert. This is a real teaser; you can see Randy Waynick, the Chief Sales Officer for Vizio sitting in a chair with what looks like a 7” or 8″ tablet PC.

We are currently unsure as to which OS the tablet will be running; Engadget.com’s readers have been speculating in their comments section that this could be Honeycomb, Gingerbread or even a Windows Phone 7 OS. While this is an important detail, some of the ones we want to know are more geared around what’s under the hood? We want to know what the specs of the device are.

As for the Phone, we don’t have too many details on the device other than its going to be called, ‘The Via Phone’, it will have a 4”screen with a pair of cameras, the back camera will be a 5 mega pixel the front facing one will be perfect for video conferencing. The WSJ report that the tablet will be called the Via Tablet and will have WiFi, a front facing camera (no mention so far of a rear facing one) and an 8” high resolution screen.

I guess we will have to wait for a few days to find out the full list of specs, but rest assured, as soon as we know the news will be reported. Which do you think it will be running, WP7 or one of the Android OS? Let us know in the comments below.
