iPhone Alarm Clock Glitch: Fixed By Monday

Whilst many of you celebrated New Years Eve without the worry of having to get up the following day, a percentage of you that had to, may have overslept due to recurring iPhone alarms not going off as previously set. Unfortunately for some of you out there, it’s not the first time that problems with the handset have arisen, as Cnet stated back in November, similar problems were experienced when the device went off for an hour due to Daylight Saving Time.

A glitch as reported by Sky.com, has been found on some iPhone handsets causing the device’s alarm clock to not go off. Many during the course of this weekend, have taken to social networking site Twitter amongst other websites to voice their concerns. If today’s reports are anything to go by, the issue which has been caused by a bug, is being looked into and should be rectified by Monday 3 January. The handsets affected include current iPhones as well as older versions with updated software.

Natalie Harrison from Apple has said, “We’re aware of an issue related to non repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2. Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.”
