Vodafone Huawei EC W820: Tablet PC – Screens and Specs

The market of tablet PCs has quickly become one of the most talked about and biggest selling markets in the world. Previously it wasn’t a success, but since the launch of the Apple iPad, things have been much better.

Tablet PCs have been around for a while now. Some of the best on the market at the moment include the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Today there has been a new device spotted that is branded with Vodafone and Huawei.

The tablet was found on the FCC filing for Huawei, where it was known as the EC W820. This is what we know about it so far, it has a 2 mega pixel camera, 1GB of internal storage but is expandable of up to 16GB via SD and it has a 7” touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 400.

Considering Huawei’s recent partnership with Android, we were a little surprised to find out that this isn’t running on an Android OS, instead as WirelessGoodness.com say it is running a proprietary OS.

According to Chris Davies of Slashgear.com, the device will be hitting the Spanish market first with no talk of it hitting anywhere else yet. As things unfold we will keep you informed.
