MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 OS Tablets: Unveiled at CES

As CES 2011 approaches, we are bracing ourselves for the onslaught of tablet devices trying to take Apple‘s crown.

One such device has been seen in a short preview video sourced by Jamie Pert over at PR News. Named the WindPad U100W by MSI, this tablet boasts Windows 7. However as Jamie points out, there is yet to be a tablet running W7 that has hit the mark when it comes to the push.

Although with features consisting of; HDMI-out, 4-in-1 card reader, 3G connectivity via a SIM card slot and 2.0 USB port. Along with front and rear cameras, stereo speakers, Bluetooth and WiFi, the 10-inch display tablet manages to pack more in weight and size to consider it as a real contender to the iPad.

Whilst Digitimes confirms that the U100W comes pre-loaded with MSI’s Wind Touch UI, the model in the video does not show it. WindPad will also support multi-touch gestures on its touchscreen display, along with 32GB SSD and the processing power of Intel’s Atom Silverthorne Z530.

Like we have said for all new tablet devices shown off at CES, Apples iPad sets a very high standard that a lot will just not be able to reach. Take a look at the video and tell us if the MSI WindPad has what you are after?
