LG LW6500: New 3D TV – No More Flickering

We have heard that LG are set to showcase a new television at CES 2011. This will be the LW6500, LG are doing things a little differently with this one. LG’s new device will be the largest 3D LED TV in the world, but of course, things could change after CES 2011.

According to Slashgear.com’s Chris Davies, the main difference between this TV and the other LG models is the use of 3D glasses. On other LG 3D TVs they are using the active shutter LCD glasses. The new model will instead be using polarized glasses, which filter the images of your eyes passively.

We wanted to bring you a little more information on the TV so let’s have a look at a few of its specs. Its WiFi ready, it supports 2D imaging and can also convert 2D to 3D imaging. There were a few more details provided in the LG Press Release, which is viewable here. Of course there will be reviews and more news on the device following on from its presence at CES 2011.
