With just over a week to go until one of the biggest electronic shows opens its doors, yes we are talking about the CES 2011, there is plenty to look forward to. Right up until Christmas, we brought you the latest up to date news on tablet devices and smartphones through to the latest 3DTV’s. Along with some of the biggest tech names, Samsung is featured at the top of the list, and today news has filtered through of a new “Galaxy Player” which is expected to be a stiff competitor against Apple’s iPod Touch.
Although details are a little sketchy, what we can tell you is that the 4-inch pixel touchscreen device is rumored to be running Android 2.2 OS, along with being available as 8GB, 16GB up to 32GB. Mashable has reported that the 9.8mm-thin media player will incorporate a 1GHz processor to aid HD playback along with 2 cameras. As gaj-it.com reported, there will be a 3.2MP camera to the rear along with a VGA camera at the front.
Samsung as of yet have not confirmed any pricing for their new Galaxy Player, so along with all new innovations, we will have to wait and see what announcements will come from the CES.
