CES 2011: Viliv To Reveal 3 New Android-Based Tablets

One of the biggest electronic shows “CES” is due to commence on 6-9 January 2011, and with it, there will be plenty to look forward to. As well as the latest innovations, indications are strongly pointing to the fact that an array of tablets will be showcased, particularly running on Android. The latest we have got news on sourced from Engadget, is a group from Viliv, the X7, X10 and a Windows 7 slimline based X70 slate, although at this stage details are still a little sketchy. What we do know from the guys over at Slashgear.com is that the tablets are expected to give “Anywhere connectivity.” The X7 will possibly have a 7-inch screen and the X10 having a 10.2-inch screen.

The market for tablet devices is already proving to be popular with of course Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s offering of the Galaxy Tab, Dell has now released their new Inspiron Duo and so on, and come early next year, the feeling is, we will no doubt be inundated with others. Only yesterday we heard from Debbie here at OSM, that Motorola may possibly be revealing a new Android Honeycomb tablet in a video which they have named “Tablet Evolution.” Or perhaps we will see Windows with a new tablet possibly running on 8, Research in Motion’s BlackBerry PlayBook or news of the next-generation iPad or Galaxy Tab 2.

News via Slashgear sourced from Pocketables, suggests that as well as news of Viliv’s 3 tablets, a “Media Tablet Phone,” has been spotted and could possibly rival that of the iPod Touch and not the iPhone as has been mentioned in the past.

Can you see Viliv positioning itself amongst the sea of tablets already on the market, or will it get lost in the crowd? Let us know.
