Velocity Micro T301 Cruz Tablet: 7-inch Android shipping now

It seems that manufacturers were slow off the mark initially to catch up with the success of the Apple iPad but once the Samsung Galaxy Tab came out there seems to have been a plethora of new tablet devices to keep track of. Yet another tablet has now been released and this time it’s the Velocity Micro Cruz T301 7-inch Android tablet device.

The new T301 has a display resolution of 800 x 600 pixels as opposed to the prior T103 model’s 800 x 480 and also has capacitive touch, 802.11n Wi-Fi and a 10-hour plus battery life (stand-by 24-hours plus) according to Laptoping. There’s also 256 MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, expandable with USB and SD card slot and it’s currently priced $249.99 at Amazon and it also includes access to the Amazon Kindle App store.

One drawback though is it runs on Android 2.0 and quite why it would have been released with a somewhat dated OS is anyone’s guess. If you want to find out much more on specs and details then check out the official product page here with photos, video coming soon and accessories information.
