Google Search: Warning You About Comprimised Websites

Internet Titan Google has stepped up its crackdown on hackers and malware by introducing a new feature to its search engine. Any search results that appear will warn users if any of the sites have been compromised.

The search engine giant will include a warning if it detects that any of the websites have been altered or hacked by a third party. You will see the notification “This site may be compromised” underneath the main title and underlined. You can see this in the picture kindly provided by Mashable below.

Google has spoken about the mechanics behind the new security and said it is “a variety of automated tools to detect common signs of a hacked site as quickly as possible.” This new feature will prove a useful companion for web users as hackers and scamming is one the rise. Even huge sites like Facebook and Twitter have fallen foul of these cyber criminals and viruses.

Computer World has said although this extra security is being given it is end users who should use their own common sense and caution when clicking on search results and online ads. It is correct that it is still at the users digression to visit, despite the amount of security on offer. Whats your take on Google’s security beef up? Let us know in the comments section.
