Next3 Android Tablet from E FUN: With Borders eBook Store

There’s a new color Android tablet device available with the release of the E FUN Next3 Android 2.1 e-reader/tablet with an 8.4-inch screen to compete against the 7-inch screen on the Nook Color.

Features include a touchscreen, buttons for turning pages and it runs on Android 2.1 so has all the usual functions such as e-mail, Web browsing, and watching videos according to Ubergizmo. It was released on December 16 and currently costs $230 and also has a SD card slot for extra storage, as well as 2GB internal storage and it will come to you with 25 pre-loaded books on it.

Over on Engadget, Joanna Stern has been taking a look at this new tablet and points out it seems to be aiming to be more of an e-reader than a tablet seeing as it has an integrated Borders e-Book Store. You can also view the press release for this device on the Engadget link above which says this new Nextbook includes Wi-Fi, multimedia functions, and is available from HSN and then also online and retail stores.
